Position: Digital UX Consultant
Role Overview:
As a Digital UX Consultant, you will join a dedicated team of designers and product professionals who are passionate about making medical imaging more accessible worldwide. Your focus will be on crafting digital experiences and products that are intuitive, user-friendly, and impactful.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Design for Key Products: Take primary design responsibility for the core clinical Butterfly iQ mobile application and the E-commerce platform.
- Design Process: Drive the design process from ideation to execution, including wireframing, prototyping, and iterating on critical business solutions.
- Feature Development: Design new product features or enhance existing ones by leveraging data, market research, and user feedback to improve usability.
- Collaboration: Work closely with UX researchers to define usability testing scope, set testing goals, and prepare interactive wireframes.
- Efficiency in Design: Use your design experience and knowledge of best practices to create solutions that are not only user-friendly but also minimize engineering effort.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and business development teams to understand and navigate business and technical constraints, finding optimal design solutions.
- Presentation and Feedback: Regularly present design work to the product design team and other stakeholders, providing multiple solutions and articulating the design rationale. Balance feedback and guide discussions to reach a consensus.
- Maintain Design Standards: Uphold high design standards through thoughtful critique and continuously test new ideas to push the boundaries of what’s possible.
- Contractor Management: Oversee contractors as needed to support design initiatives.
- General Support: Perform a variety of tasks to support your role and responsibilities as a UX Consultant.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 5 to 7 years of product design experience.
- Passion for Simplicity: A strong passion for transforming complex challenges into simple, engaging user experiences.
- UX and Visual Design Expertise: Ability to apply UX principles, visual design, and product thinking to both mobile and web platforms.
- Research-Driven Design: Experience in applying research, usability testing, and metrics to guide design decisions.
- Iterative Design Process: Comfort with an iterative design approach.
- Proficiency with Tools: Competence in using relevant design and prototyping tools, such as Figma and Principle.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent communication, collaboration, and self-management skills.
